**The most important numeric metric is `Amount`, the funding raised in each round.** It is the only real measure across the five monthly tables (Jan–May 2022). It is stored as text, not a number, so it needed cleaning before ranking. **Highest records** (cleaned USD values, Jan–May 2022 combined; first result block in step 2): 1. **Accel**, Apr 2022: $18.3 billion (Financial services, stage "undisclosed") 2. **Ola**, Apr 2022: $5.0 billion (Travel Arrangements, Series J) 3. **Mahindra Logistics**, Apr 2022: $2.5 billion (Logistics, stage "undisclosed") 4. **Verse Innovation**, Apr 2022: $1.7 billion (Internet Publishing, Series J) 5. **ShareChat**, Apr 2022: $1.4 billion (Social networking, Series G) **Lowest records** (cleaned values): 1. **FirstCry**, Apr 2022: $74,140 (Online shopping) 2. **Propdial**, Mar 2022: $100,000 (Real Estate) 3. **PensionBox**, Mar 2022: $160,000 (Financial Service) 4. **Accelero Vehicles**, Feb 2022: $200,000 (Automotive, Seed) 5. **Mango Point**, Feb 2022: $200,000 (Food & Beverages) **Caveats on data quality** - **Messy text values.** An earlier ranking from my first parsing attempt (step 1) put nonsense at the bottom, such as Skillmatics at "$23" and Wooden Street at "$34.100,000". These come from mixed number formats (a dot used as the decimal separator, or a missing "$"), not real tiny rounds. The lowest list above comes from the second pass, which gives plausible amounts. - **Missing or non-numeric amounts.** In the amount counts (steps 0 and 3), 35 rows are "Undisclosed" and 25 are blank. There are also a few unformatted entries like "2,000,000". None of these can be ranked, so the real extremes cover only the rows with a usable amount. - **The top figure is doubtful.** $18.3B for Accel is most likely wrong. Accel is a venture investor, not a funded startup, and its stage is "undisclosed". The same applies to Mahindra Logistics, also "undisclosed". These look like fund-size figures or misaligned rows rather than single funding rounds. The May table is already flagged as having misaligned or blank rows. The first credible startup round is Ola at $5.0B (Series J). - **Typical round size.** The most common amounts are small and round: $1M (20 rows), $10M (15), and $3M, $5M and $500K (13 each). I'd treat the lowest list as reliable and the top two or three as needing a manual check before use.
