Edit
**The most important metric is `Amount in USD`.** It is the only real measure in the dataset, covering the size of each reported funding deal. It is stored as text with Indian digit grouping (e.g. `3,90,00,00,000`), so I parsed it to a number. The other columns are text or dates, apart from the `Sr No` row key. **Highest records** (shown in the rendered results above): - **Rapido Bike Taxi** has the largest deal: about **$3.9 billion**, a Series B on 27/08/2019 in Bengaluru. - **Flipkart** is next at **$2.5 billion**, a Private Equity round on 11/08/2017 in Bangalore. - **Flipkart** (21/03/2017) and **Paytm** (18/05/2017) tie at **$1.4 billion**, both Private Equity. - **Paytm** (Noida, 25/11/2019, "Funding Round") raised $1.0 billion. - Other large deals include Flipkart.com at $700M (2015), Paytm at $680M (2015), True North at $600M (2018) and Udaan's Series D at $585M (2019). - The top deals are mostly Private Equity rounds in Bangalore, with Mumbai, Noida and New Delhi also present. **Lowest records:** - The smallest recorded amount is **$16,000**, held by five Seed Funding deals on 19/01/2015: Hostel Dunia, Play your sport, Yo Grad, CBS and Enabli. None has a city or vertical recorded. - The next lowest is **$16,600**, for a group of seed deals on 02/02/2015 (Faaya, Leaf, Dealwithus, InstaBounce, CleverSharks and Chloroplast Foods). **Caveats:** - **Range:** the amounts span about five orders of magnitude, from tens of thousands of dollars to billions. - **Missing values:** some rows have no amount. For example, Drums Food (21/07/2016) has none, so it is not a true maximum and sorts first only because of how nulls are ordered. - **Rapido figure:** the $3.9 billion Rapido deal looks implausibly large for a Series B and may be a unit or currency error in the source. I report it as recorded. - **Inconsistent labels:** round types are written inconsistently (e.g. `Seed\nFunding` vs `Seed Funding`).
