Edit
Yes, but there are only a few true duplicates. Most repeated companies are separate funding rounds.
The evidence comes from three grouped queries on company name across the five monthly tables. They found 15 repeated groups (14 named companies plus one blank group). The three result sets are the same data with the order of months varying.
**True duplicates, repeated within the same month (2 companies)**
- **nowpurchase:** two rows, both January, both `$2,400,000` / Seed. They look identical.
- **securden:** two rows, both April, both Series A. The amounts are `$11.700,000` and `$11,700,000`, so the same figure is typed two ways. This is a near-duplicate caused by a number-formatting typo.
**Possible near-duplicate across months (1 company)**
- **lummo:** Jan `$80,000,000` Series C and Feb `$80,000,000` Series C. The amount and stage are the same, so this may be one round reported twice, or a re-announcement.
**Repeats that look like genuine separate events (the rest)**
- **pine labs** appears in all four months (Jan $20M, Feb $150M, Mar $50M, Apr $1.2B) with different amounts.
- **chargebee, classplus, dealshare, licious, livspace, xpressbees, mamaearth, swiggy, growfitter and sustainkart** each appear in two different months with different amounts or stages. These look like follow-on rounds or updates.
- Several of these share a stage across months (classplus Series D, dealshare Series E, xpressbees Series F). That fits tranches of a round but could also be re-reporting.
**Blank rows**
- The group with an empty company name has 19 rows, all in May. One carries `6400000 / $Series A` and the rest are empty. The card notes that some May rows are misaligned or blank. These are junk rows rather than duplicates, but they should be removed before any counting.
**Related data-quality issues**
- Amounts are text and inconsistently formatted. Some use a period as a thousands separator (`$468.200,000`, `$129.500,000`, `$624.800,000`). `livspace` has `$431.6`, which looks truncated. Others are `Undisclosed`.
- Any dedupe on amount should clean these values first, or it will miss near-duplicates like securden.
I only matched on company name. Different spellings of the same company, for example with a suffix or different casing, would not be caught by this check.
