**Short answer:** no column in any table contains true NULLs, but several contain blank (empty-string) values. Those blanks are the real missing data. **How I checked** - The NULL-count check (step 0) matched no rows, and the NULL-percentage check (step 2) was 0.0% for every column in all five monthly tables. - Counting empty or blank strings (steps 1 and 4) shows where the gaps are. The percentages below are blanks as a share of each table's rows. **Missing values by table (percent blank)** - **January (115 rows)** - Stage is blank in 43 rows (37.4%). - Investor is blank in 5 rows (4.3%). - All other columns are complete. - **February (96 rows)** - Stage is blank in 29 rows (30.2%). - Investor is blank in 6 rows (6.3%). - Amount is blank in 2 rows (2.1%). - Founders is blank in 1 row (1.0%). - **March (98 rows)** - Stage is blank in 31 rows (31.6%). - Investor is blank in 3 rows (3.1%). - All other columns are complete. - **April (95 rows)** - Founders is blank in 10 rows (10.5%). - Investor is blank in 10 rows (10.5%). - Amount is blank in 2 rows (2.1%). - Stage is blank in 3 rows (3.2%). - Location is blank in 1 row (1.1%). - **May (42 rows)** - Missingness is much higher and spread across almost every column. - Company Name, Location and Sector are each blank in 19 rows (45.2%). - Founded and What it does are each blank in 18 rows (42.9%). - Founders is blank in 27 rows (64.3%). - Investor, Amount and Stage are each blank in 21 rows (50.0%). - The dataset notes say some May rows are misaligned or blank, so these look like empty or shifted rows rather than genuinely unknown fields. **Takeaways** - Across January–April, Stage is the most commonly missing column, at roughly 30–37% in the January–March tables but only 3.2% in April. Investor is the next most common, at 3–10%. - Company Name, Founded, Sector and What it does are always complete in January–April. Location has one blank in April only. - May is the outlier, with 43–64% blank in every business column. Treat it with caution, or clean out the blank rows before analysis. - I checked only the nine business columns. The `_ingestion_*`, `_batch_id` and `_source_*` metadata columns were not part of this check.
